Arshdeep Singh dodges Henry Nicholls in the first over of his return to ODI, sends a message to Gautam Gambhir

New Zealand’s openers were back in no time as Arshdeep Singh and Harshit Rana struck hard in their very first overs. Henry Nicholls was in a dilemma when he was late in getting his bat back on a ball from Arshdeep Singh, causing him to cramp near the off-stump.

India has made only one change in the series decider to be held at Holkar Stadium in Indore. The stadium, largely known for its high-scoring nature, features rocket outfields and smooth batting tracks. India brought back their experienced fast bowler Arshdeep Singh in place of the ineffective Prasidh Krishna.

Arshdeep Singh troubled Henry Nicholls in the third ODI

New Zealand lost its first wicket in the very first over of the third ODI in Indore. Henry Nicholls, the batsman who returned to ODI form for New Zealand, had a very good start to the series, but his scores remained low in the next two matches.

Arshdeep Singh shaped the ball towards the batsman and pitched it perfectly, something he does often with the new ball. Since he had pitched a ball around a good length, and the seam was high enough to turn it in the air, Nicholls was in a dilemma whether to leave it or play his shot.

He faced a big dilemma as he was late in getting the leave and the inside edge of the bat hit his leg stump.
