Arshdeep can be considered an all-format player as he remains a part of testing squads in India’s T20I, ODI and all important matches. However, he has got a handful of opportunities in more than 50 cricket and has yet to make his Test debut.

Many hoped that Arshdeep, who is one of the only three Indian bowlers, who starts his T20 eye career with a young woman, finally to get his Test cap on a tour of England, but it did not happen.

He was one of the three inauspicious Indian players, who did not get any opportunity in the test series against England. Abhimanyu Ishwar, Arshdeep Singh, and Kuldeep Yadav were the players who were kept by head coach Gautam Gambhir.

In particular, the left -handed pacer was in line to play the fourth Test match, which began on 23 July at Old Trafford, Manchester, but was dropped from the match.

Prior to the match, Arshdeep Singh bowled in the nets in Becanham, facing a “effect injury” for his left thumb, and young pacer Anshul Kamboj had the opportunity to make his debut.

It is not that there was a lack of bowling – Arshdeep Singh

On the edge of the Dalip Trophy, where Arshdeep is playing for the north region, he talked about whether he was disappointed during the tour of England and how he inspired himself.

Pesar said that he kept his 100% in training sessions and whenever he got a chance, he kept himself ready to play.

“When you are not playing, you just try to pursue your boundaries. Training is almost identical. You just do more work when you are playing. More over, more strength work, more training, so that whenever you get a chance, you are ready and fit to go completely,” he said, as is quoted by EspNcricinfo.

“I don’t know how many balls I must have tilted in practice. It is not that there was a lack of bowling. I was managing my charge properly. Whenever you get a chance, its purpose is to be ready.”

I started practicing with a white ball – Arshdeep Singh

Arshdeep Singh further said that he started preparing for the Asia Cup 2025, which would begin in England on 9 September, as he practiced with a white ball. He said:

“Right from final test [at The Oval]I started practicing with a white ball. I did not know that there was a Dilip Trophy match in the middle. At the end of the day, red ball, white ball or pink ball, you have to play cricket and try and enjoy it.

“I’ve got a chance here [at the Duleep Trophy]Will play with a white ball next [at the Asia Cup]So its purpose is to keep in many overs under your belt and play any format.
