India will tour Australia for a three-match ODI series and a five-match T20I series in October–November 2025. Perth Stadium will host the opening match of the ODI series on October 19, and the next two matches will be played in Adelaide and Sydney on October 23 and 25. After that, the T20I matches are scheduled to be played on October 29, 31, November 2, 6 and 8 at five different venues.

Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli have retired from Test and T20I cricket and while they will be available in international cricket, they will play only in limited form as very few ODIs are played these days.

Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli were last seen in action in competitive cricket for Mumbai Indians (MI) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025.

Earlier, he played for the India national cricket team in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. The duo performed tremendously in the competition and helped India win the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) by defeating New Zealand in the final.

Also, Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) vice-president Rajeev Shukla has now confirmed that Rohit and Kohli will not retire after the Australia series.

He told ANI in Delhi, “We are going to benefit a lot from this. He is a great batsman. We will be successful in defeating Australia with his presence in the team. It is absolutely wrong to say that this is his last ODI series. It is up to the players to decide when to retire.”
