Team India’s fast bowler Ansul Kamboj made his Test debut in the fourth Test of the five -match series against England at Old Trafford in Manchester on Wednesday, 23 July. The side -led side of Shubman Gill supported Anshul to deliver Paper Akash Deep and Arshdeep Singh with the ball after injuries.
Nitish Kumar Reddy was excluded from the last two matches with a left -knee injury, while Arshdeep maintained the left thumb injury during a pure session in Bekenham, making him unavailable for the Manchester Test. Prior to the fourth Test, Captain Shubman Gill also confirmed that the sky would miss deep game.

Before the start of the fourth Test, Anshul Kamboj was handed over his Test cap by former India wicketkeeper-bitter Deep Dasgupta. Kamboj became the 318th player representing India in the longest format of the game.

While Prasad Krishna was also in dispute for a place in XI, his performance in the first two matches was less. He struggled with both control and continuity, scored a lot of runs, due to which India opted for Kambaj.
