According to the latest reports, there will be no review of the Indian Test team’s performance as they have taken a break from red-ball cricket and focused their attention solely on limited overs cricket.
However, it has been revealed that BCCI is planning to intervene in case of tension between head coach Gautam Gambhir and two legends Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli.
The Indian team has struggled to maintain its high standards under Gautam Gambhir, with the former KKR mentor being successful only in the shortest format of the game and failing to deliver satisfactory results in the other two formats.

BCCI was expected to organize a review meeting after the very poor performance of the Indian Test team and the whitewash in the second home series. Also, they should have addressed the coaching problems after Gautam Gambhir’s misbehavior for some time now.
However, the latest report by Dainik Jagran correspondent Abhishek Tripathi has revealed that there will be no review meeting regarding the performance of the Indian Test team and even if it happens, it will be held only after the ODI and T20 series against South Africa.
However, he also revealed that the BCCI is more concerned about the internal environment of the ODI team and is planning a review meeting to address the underlying issues. It has been observed that the Test and T20I dressing room environment is excellent, but the ODI team environment is reportedly poor.
BCCI review meeting will be held in Raipur or Visakhapatnam
Although the Indian team management and batting coach Sitanshu Kotak also do not agree with such claims, the growing tension within the team is clearly visible.
Sitanshu Kotak had said in the press conference after the first ODI in Ranchi that no such review meeting was planned and asked, “What is the need for a review meeting?”
However, a BCCI source to Dainik Jagran had revealed that the relationship between head coach Gautam Gambhir and senior players Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma is not as good as it should be and this could be a matter of concern in the long run.
The same source had confirmed that a review meeting could be held soon, and the meeting could possibly be held in Raipur or Visakhapatnam, the next two venues for India’s matches. It has also come to light that BCCI is angry with the fans of Kohli and Rohit Sharma for targeting Gautam Gambhir.
