From the first game, Jadeja looked extraordinary with the bat, and he improved his performance as he moved forward, his beast mode was seen in the second innings every time.

In the second innings of the first four matches in Leeds, Birmingham, London and Manchester, he recorded scores of 25*, 69*, 61*, and 107*.

Although his line of unbeaten score finally ended in the ongoing fifth Test match, his performance did not go down as he slammed a beautiful half -century.

Jadeja was rejected by Pesar Josh Tongu in the 84th innings. On the second ball of the over, Josh Tongue delivered a length of Jadeja outside the off-stump, and the Indian all-rounder moved it.

After taking a thick outpayer, the ball flew on the second slip of Harry Brook, and the English batsman made no mistake, cutting it upside down in front of his left shoulder.

Ravindra Jadeja was dismissed after scoring 54 off 77 balls, and his innings was held with five fours. He was not happy with the way he came out and punched the stumps almost angry.

Ravindra Jadeja is a fork in the side – Phil Tuffnell

Former England spinner Phil Tuffnell highlighted that Jadeja had troubled the three lions in the ongoing series. Speaking on BBC Test Match, he said:

“Ravindra Jadeja is a fork in the side. England may be in danger of wheels coming in this last season. It feels that they are running on the empty.

Talking about Jadeja’s dismissal, Phil Tuffnell said Pesar Josh was entitled to the wicket after a brilliant bowling. He said:

“Well enthusiastic tongue. He was fully entitled to it. Harry Brook has managed to stick to him. England are breathing a relief.”

Meanwhile, speaking on Sky Sports Cricket, Ian Ward said that England would need to be started well to give itself a chance to win. He said:

“England would need a good concrete start. They did it in the first innings with Crolly and Docket, and it removed the speed from India.”
