Indian leg-spinner Amit Mishra recently declared his retirement in all forms of the game. Amit Mishra retired with 156 wickets in 68 International Games. Although the 42 -year -old did not quietly hang his shoes, he also attacked his former captains, including Virat Kohli.
The former Indian leg-spinner has expressed years of frustration, where his talent was often seen with selection politics and favoritism. Despite showing his craft in forms, he was on the fringe, struggling for a place in the continuous XI.

He launched his India in 2003, and his final international appearance came in 2017, which was T20I against England. However, the pain of not getting opportunities due to politics and favoritism has never been completely overcome.

After the retirement, Mishra, who first played under MS Dhoni and later Virat Kohli, laid a scary attack on the former Indian captain, accusing some “chosen” opportunities to the people, while others like him were forced to prove their worthy every time.

Amit Mishra was told by PTI, “This was a very disappointing thing. Sometimes you are in the team, sometimes you are out. Sometimes you are out. Sometimes you get a chance to play eleven, sometimes you don’t.
The former cricketer further said, “Whenever I was disappointed, I thought what can I improve. Is it my fitness, batting, or bowling, I always focused on getting better. Whenever I got a chance to play for the Indian team, I did well, and I am very happy about it. I have never gone away from hard work.”
Even, Mishra once claimed that Kohli was very different when he first came into the team, but once he became a captain, his personality changed. He had said that Kohli’s behavior and the way he interacted with his colleagues, he completely changed when he became the captain of India.

Amit Mishra remembered a hat -trick that changed everything
Meanwhile, Mishra remembered IPL 2008 as a turn of his career. Playing for Delhi Daredevils, leg-spinner surprised everyone by hat-trick, including the wickets of Shahid Afridi and Herschel Gibbs against Deccan Chargers.
Mishra ended with magical figures of 5 for 17, and that performance paved the way for his return to the Indian cricket team.
Prior to the 2008 IPL season, he was consistently performing well in domestic cricket, taking 35-45 wickets every season, but could not return to the Indian team. Since that hat trick remembered him an India, he called it a “defined moment” of his career.

He signed, saying, “That IPL hat trick has changed things for me. I had performed well in the previous year in Syed Mushtaq Ali, taking 25 wickets, helping me to get an IPL contract.
“After that hat -trick, I was continuously returning to the Indian team, and my career also started in T20. Therefore, in 2008 Hat Trick with five wickets will be a decisive moment of my life.”
