Pakistan has decided to take such a bold decision as the International Cricket Council (ICC) has removed Bangladesh from the T20 World Cup 2026 after their refusal to tour India for the competition.

Currently, the Mohsin Naqvi-led Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is considering multiple ways to sabotage the T20 World Cup 2026 and is reviewing various protest options.

There is a feeling inside the Pakistan camp that dropping the match against India will cost them 2 points, but the more significant loss will be to the International Cricket Council (ICC) as India vs Pakistan provides the biggest revenue.

Meanwhile, the Pakistani government is in no mood to send the team to Sri Lanka for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 despite the team’s announcement.

The final decision has to be taken by the Prime Minister of Pakistan

A source said that the final decision on this matter will be taken by the Prime Minister of Pakistan, but overall the PCB believes that the ICC has treated Bangladesh step-by-step.

A senior government source said, “The final decision depends on the Prime Minister, but early indications suggest that the government may not allow Pakistan to participate in the T20 World Cup.”

“This is not just about cricket; it is about principles. Bangladesh has been denied its legitimate right, and the ICC’s step-motherly behavior has forced Pakistan to seriously reconsider its participation.”

“There cannot be double standards in international sports. On one hand, India has the freedom to choose the venue, while on the other hand, countries like Bangladesh are refused to make changes in the venue despite citing security concerns. If the ICC really wants cricket to grow as a global game, such selective policies must end,” the source said.
