Former Team India cricketer Ambati Rayudu recently chose his all -time top three OD batsmen during his appearance on Podcast of Shubhankar Mishra. The cricketer-turn-commentator ignored players like Rohit Sharma, Sourav Ganguly and Rahul Dravid, selecting their all-time top three ODIs.

Ambati Rayudu played for India between 2013 and 2023. He showed 55 ODIs and six T20s during his career. The batsman had an impressive record in a daytime format, including 1,694 runs at an average of 47.05, including three centuries and 10 half -centuries. He was removed from the ODI squad after 2019.

However, he was not successful in small format, scoring just 42 runs at an average of 10.50. The 39 -year -old retired from all forms of Indian cricket in 2023.

Ambati Rayudu chose all-time top three T20 batsmen

During the podcast, Ambati Rayudu was asked to share his favorite batsmen in limited over cricket. He nominated Rohit Sharma, AB de Villiers and Suryakumar Yadav as their top three options for T20. Rayudu said that there are many players, but they chose all three as their favorite pics.

“First of all, I think it is Rohit Sharma, then it is to be AB de Villiers and Suryakumar (my favorite top 3 T20 batsman). There are also Chris Gayle, but there are many players. These are the three what I am leaving,” Rayudu said.

When asked about his favorite ODI batsmen, Rayudu chose three Indian legends, Virat Kohli, Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag. He said that while many players can be considered, all three are their top options.

“In Odis, the top pics are Virat Kohli, Sachin Tendulkar, and Virender Sehwag. Don’t go on the record. There are many players right now. If you have these three, think about it,” Rayudu said.

Sachin Tendulkar holds the record for the most runs in ODI history. He scored 18,426 runs in 463 matches on an average of 463 matches, including 49 centuries. The right -handed batsman was also part of India’s 2011 World Cup winning team.

Meanwhile, Virat Kohli, OD are all-time leaders with 51 in hundreds. Kohli is the third largest run-scorer in total, scoring 14,181 runs at an outstanding average of 57.88 and a strike rate of 93.34.

In the same video, Ambati Rayudu chose his all-time IPL XI, including two Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) legends.

Rayudu chose Chris Gayle and Rohit Sharma as the initial pair. One of the best artists of RCB, Gayle scored 3,420 runs in 91 matches and an average of 43.29 and five centuries of strike rate of 154.40.

For mid -order, he chose Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav and Suresh Raina. He supported MS Dhoni and Kieron Pollard as finishers. Lasith Malinga, Jasprit Bumrah, Dwayne Bravo and Sunil Narin were selected as bowlers at the playing XI.
