Edgbaston Hero Akash Deep 2 avoids dismissal
Akash Deep was one of the heroes of India’s major victory over England in Edgbaston in Birmingham in the second Test match. He took 10 wickets and sealed his place in the XI to play for the later Test match.
With the ball, he was not able to repeat his heroes at Lord’s and became wicket -free in his 23 overs, scoring 92 runs in 4 economy.
Meanwhile, Akash Deep arrived in the middle with the bat after Ravindra Jadeja’s dismissal on the second ball of the 114th over, which was bowled by veteran pacer Chris Woakes.
Facing his first ball, Akash was hit on the pad by a sharp handback by Chris Woakes, and on-field umpire Shafudaula raised his finger. However, the Indian pacer immediately reviewed, and Replay showed that the ball would miss the leg-stump, and the decision was overturned.
On the next ball, Woakes did a full -length delivery to the Akash, which proceeded to push it back near Pesar, and had no runs. Then, on the fifth ball of the over, Woakes delivered a good length for the Indian talender, who was pressed back in the middle, defeated the bat, and rapped the back pad above the knee roll.
Umpire Shafudaula again raised his finger, and Akash once again indicated to a DRS. It was seen out for naked eyes, but Ultra-Eudge showed that the ball would miss stumps and Sharfudaula was forced to change their decision again.

After surviving twice, Akash decided to do something magical, and he smoked Peser Jofra Archer of England for a sensational six in the 116th over.
On the first ball of the over, Joffra Archer did a loose delivery below 130 kmph, which came into the pad, and the Indian talender inflated it to the fielder in deep backward square-leggle for maximum.
He became only the third player to hit Archer with a six in the Test in England after Mitchell Starc and Matthew Wade and after Rohit Sharma only second Indian to hit Jofra Archer for six in Test cricket. Overall, Archer has hit 12 sixes in nine batsmen tests.
Akash was eventually rejected in the 117th over, and his wicket was also attracting attention as Harry Brook pulled a full stringer in slips.
On the first ball of the 117th over, Bridan Cars made Akash a wide and full-length delivery, which tried to run it down, but ended while hitting Harry Brook, who dives to his right and grabbed a stunning ketch to send the sky back for 10 balls.
Michael Atherton praised Sky Sports, Brook, saying, “Brook is a very precious cricketer. When he plays a big innings, he does not celebrate with great hysteronics and with this catch, he simply threw the ball as it was the easiest in the world,” Michael Ettyart praised Brook on Sky Sports.
