The control board for cricket in India (BCCI) chief selector Ajit Aggarkar has revealed the possibility of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma in the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2027.
Ajit Agkar has also revealed why Shubman Gill has been handed over ODI captaincy for the upcoming series against Australia National Cricket Team.
Both Rohit and Virat are non -communal about the World Cup – Ajit Agkar
Rohit Sharma has been dismissed as the OD skipper of India, taking charge by Shubman Gill. However, he is named in the squad for the Australia Tour with Virat Kohli.
Both Kohli and Rohit are single-form players who retired from Test and T20I. However, from time to time, he has expressed his desire to play the 2027 ODI World Cup.
However, he is not likely to have a high possibility in the next 50 overs World Cup. Talking to the media after the announcement of the squad for the Australia Tour, Ajit Agarkar said that Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli are non -composites about the World Cup.
“Both Rohit and Virat are Noncoming about the World Cup (2027),” Ajit Agkar said.
He said, “He is great of the game and he scored tons for India. We will just score runs for India and continue to do so. They are the leaders in the team,” he further said about the pair.

Ajit Aagkar revealed why Shubman Gill has been named Skipper
Talking about Shubman Gill’s appointment as OD skipper, Ajit Aggarkar said that it is quite difficult to be three different captains; Therefore, it was decided to elevate the Punjab child. He said:
“It is practically impossible to be 3 separate captains for three formats. It is also difficult for the coach to plan with 3 different captains. And it gives enough time to the next man that is coming.”
