But now, the happiness has doubled with the happy news, as India vice-captain Smriti Mandhana is all set to marry her long-time boyfriend and popular musician Palash Muchhal this November.
One of the biggest stars of women’s cricket, Smriti Mandhana and Palash Muchhal will reportedly tie the knot on November 20 in the cricketer’s hometown Sangli, Maharashtra. Sangli holds a very special significance for Mandhana, as not only was she born but it is also where her cricket journey began.

Meanwhile, the much-awaited wedding will reportedly be an intimate and elegant ceremony, which will be attended by close family and friends from the cricket and music industry. Preparations have begun in Sangli, where the couple has planned pre-wedding festivities.
The celebrations are expected to include traditional Maharashtrian rituals, musical nights and special performances. Notably, Smriti and Palash made their relationship public through a heartfelt social media post in 2024, which instantly went viral.

Since then, they have been seen together on several occasions, supporting each other’s careers. While Smriti continues to inspire millions with her batting, Palash has made a name for himself in the Indian music industry with hit songs like Tu Jo Kahe, Party To Banti Hai, Musafir and O Khuda. It is noteworthy that Palash is an Indian musician, singer and lyricist.
At a recent event in Indore, Palash confirmed the big news with a light-hearted comment. “She will soon become Indore’s daughter-in-law… Bas itna hi kehna hai (That’s all I want to say). I have given you the headline,” he said at an event at the State Press Club.

Soon after, social media was flooded with heart emojis and congratulatory messages, with fans calling it “the perfect marriage of cricket and music”. Close friends of the couple revealed that the bond between Smriti and Palash grew stronger during the pandemic.

Meanwhile, Smriti Mandhana created history in the ICC Women’s World Cup 2025 final against South Africa in Navi Mumbai. She broke former Indian captain Mithali Raj’s long-standing record of scoring the most runs by an Indian in a World Cup edition.
Heading into the final with 389 runs, Mandhana needed only 21 more runs to surpass Mithali’s 409 runs in 2017, and she achieved it in style during the first innings. Mandhana has been in great form throughout the tournament, scoring consistently and playing a key role in India’s historic win.
