After winning the ODI series, the news of differences between Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir were confirmed with cold statements.

Indian fans are already upset with the tension in the Indian dressing room between former Indian captain Virat Kohli and Indian head coach Gautam Gambhir. Now this difference has almost come to the fore, as Kohli was seen shaking hands with Gautam Gambhir with different body language compared to his other teammates.

During the first ODI, Virat Kohli was seen ignoring head coach Gautam Gambhir after India’s win in the first ODI in Ranchi. He was then seen passing by the head coach in the dressing room, looking towards himself and ignoring the head coach.

On Tuesday afternoon, selector Pragyan Ojha was seen having an in-depth conversation with Virat Kohli at Ranchi airport. NDTV had then claimed that he could be the mediator sent by the BCCI to resolve the issue between the veteran cricketer and the coach.

Virat Kohli showed indifference while shaking hands with coach Gambhir

The rift between the most senior players in the Indian dressing room and the Indian head coach has now become apparent. Reports have suggested a tussle between the head coach and Virat Kohli, who has been at opposite ends of the spectrum during his playing career in the IPL.

This was confirmed when there was a significant change in Virat Kohli’s body language after India’s resounding victory in Visakhapatnam. After scoring another unbeaten half-century, he walked off the field smiling along with centurion Yashasvi Jaiswal.

He celebrated the victory warmly with his teammates and hugged them with laps and handshakes. However, when it came to Gautam Gambhir, Kohli’s body language changed a lot. His handshake seemed too formal, and he immediately moved on, further increasing doubts about the authenticity of the situation between the two.

Player of the Series looked very happy during the entire match in Visakhapatnam

Although Virat has revealed a new side of himself in the batting department, his same charming and fun-loving character remains intact on the field. He looks very determined on the field and often keeps the crowd engaged with his cheerful antics.

After his brilliant performance in the series, Virat was also chosen Player of the Series. He played three matches and scored 300+ runs in the series with an average of over 150 with two centuries and one half-century.

Virat Kohli will next be seen in Vijay-Hazare Trophy

It is noteworthy that both the Indian legends were seen playing in the Ranji Trophy last year before India entered the Border-Gavaskar Trophy; However, he later announced his retirement from the format.

Now, two Indian greats who have been in exceptional form and have scored 300+ runs individually for India since their return have also been advised to make themselves available for the Vijay Hazare Trophy. Kohli and Rohit have also reportedly agreed to play domestic tournaments.

Virat Kohli is likely to make a much-awaited return to action in the Vijay Hazare Trophy for the first time since 2010, when he last represented Delhi in the domestic competition. Kohli has already informed DDCA about his availability.
