We haven’t really mastered it yet in ODIs: Mike Hesson

Before the start of the first ODI in Rawalpindi, Pakistan head coach Mike Hesson admitted that they have not been perfect, but he is happy that they won the ODI series against South Africa. He was also pleased with the team’s ability to perform in crucial moments, but admitted there was still work to do, especially in ODI cricket.

Cricbuzz quoted Mike Hesson as saying, “I think one-day cricket is something we haven’t really mastered over the past year. After winning the series in Australia and South Africa, we missed it a bit. So, we’ve come back to being a bit more disciplined with the ball. From a batting point of view, it’s about taking a bit more ownership. No, it’s very different in terms of T20 wickets. With the World Cup in mind Keeping in mind, we are happy to play on spinning surfaces. But in our bilateral ODIs, we will play on pitches that we feel suit us, so, having come back to Rawalpindi, you will see that the pitch will obviously have a bit more pace and bounce today.
