Prafulla Hinge made his dream debut for Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the ongoing Tata Indian Premier League 2026 (TATA IPL 2026) on April 13. One of his spells against Rajasthan Royals (RR) changed Prafulla Hinge’s life overnight, but his statement after the match did not go down well with Vaibhav Suryavanshi.
Hinz took four wickets in his debut match for Sunrisers Hyderabad and three of them came in his very first over. His early victims included the dangerous Vaibhav Suryavanshi, followed by Dhruv Jurel and Luan-Dre Pretorius. Later he also removed RR captain Riyan Parag.
How Prafulla Hinge’s statement provoked Vaibhav Suryavanshi in RR vs SRH IPL 2026 clash
However, it was Vaibhav’s wicket that was special for the SRH pacer as the young batsman was in top form, and he had already made up his mind to target the RR opener with a specific plan.

After winning the Player of the Match award, Hinz had said, “Suryavanshi was my favorite wicket. I told people that I would bowl a bouncer at him and get him out. I just wanted to get him out.”
Later, the SRH bowler revealed that he had dismissed Vaibhav with a bouncer in the Under-23 game, so he wanted to follow the same plan as the youngster likes to attack every ball.
Varun Aaron’s move against Vaibhav worked for Hinge
He shared his plan with the SRH coaches, but bowling coach Varun Aaron asked him to try a different line for each ball.
That change worked perfectly and he got the big wicket exactly as he had planned. Hinz said, “I wanted to bowl him round the wicket, but he (Aaron) asked me to go over the wicket for one ball and I got him out on that very ball. So, we were both very happy.”
Vaibhav Suryavanshi reveals his plan to take brutal revenge on Prafulla Hinge
But Vaibhav Suryavanshi took exact revenge in the reverse match on 25 April. This time, the left-handed batsman attacked Hinge ruthlessly and hit four consecutive sixes in his first over. He scored a record century but could not save RR from suffering a five-wicket defeat to SRH.
The left-handed batsman said that he had a clear plan to attack Hinge after seeing a lot of things on social media. Therefore, he decided to answer everything with his batting.

“I went in with a clear plan against the bowler. After I got out in the last match, I went back and checked my phone. I saw that a lot of things were said about me. I usually don’t pay attention to those things, but when someone says something to me personally, it affects me a bit. I only wanted to respond with my bat,” Vaibhav told RR manager Romi Bhinder in an IPL video.
Vaibhav Suryavanshi shares important update on his fitness
The RR opener also shared his update on his fitness after he had to leave the field after suffering cramps midway through the SRH innings in Jaipur.
He signed off by saying, “It’s OK now. I’m feeling better. I don’t know; my foot was stuck. I already had ankle problems, so to avoid putting too much force on it, I pulled my hamstring. But it’s better now. I’ll be fine in time for the next match.”
