The same Nepalese team which lost to England by just 4 runs while chasing a mammoth score of 180+, was bowled out for just 123 runs against Italy.
The ICC T20 World Cup often features several high-risk games; However, the World Cup has been quite a disappointment so far, with many of the predictable results. Every group has featured two giants of world cricket together and hence, the results have been one-sided.
However, games like England vs Nepal were closely contested, as the English won by a margin of four runs and the Afghanistan vs South Africa game was an absolute lopsided affair, with the game stretching to two super-overs.

As Nepal came to bat first, their wickets kept falling at regular intervals, and despite starts from many of their first five batsmen, they were never able to convert it into a big score.
The Italians started with their spin option in Benjamin Manenti, who was exceptional with the ball and then they were supported by other spinners like JJ Smuts and Krishan Kalugamage. Together they took 6 wickets and Nepal was out for just 123 runs in the 20th over.

Former great Indian batsman Wasim Jaffer made fun of Nepal’s skill after their disappointing performance against Nepal. Wasim Jaffer commented that this could possibly be marked as the biggest upset of this World Cup.
His predictions did not go wrong, as the Italian team not only bowled out the Nepalese batsmen for a low score of 123 runs, but also chased the target with some ease and dominance. Wasim Jaffer made a funny comment through his ex-post.

Italy’s bowlers had already done a remarkable job, bundling them out for just 123, but there was still work to do, especially with the experienced Nepalese bowling attack, which also included some spin-bowling maestros.
Italy openers Justin Mosca and his brother Anthony Mosca played the best innings of their lives as they scored their first half-centuries in the World Cup. An unbeaten 124-run partnership between the two batsmen gave them a spectacular win over Nepal with 10 wickets and 44 balls to spare.
