Gujarat Titans captain Shubman Gill once again took to Instagram after his team’s win over Rajasthan Royals in Jaipur on Saturday.
In IPL 2026, Gill has made a habit of trolling all the teams that his team has managed to defeat. GT’s win against RR was the 2022 champions’ fourth consecutive win in IPL 2026.

GT vs RR IPL 2026: GT moves to second place in points table after emphatic win over RR
Rajasthan Royals did not get the result they expected due to Yashasvi Jaiswal’s decision to bowl first at the Sawai Man Singh Stadium on 9 May. Shubman Gill and Sai Sudarshan made a record-equalling ninth century partnership between them.
RR’s 19-year-old leg spinner Yashraj Punia dismissed Sudarshan for 55 in the eleventh over, but the opening partnership had reached 118. In typical fashion, Gill started a little slow but picked up the pace and eventually scored 84 runs from 44 balls.
Despite losing Jos Buttler early, Washington Sundar took up the finisher duties to take GT to a mammoth score of 229.
RR’s chase also did not go as planned. Vaibhav Suryavanshi launched as it should have, but crashed early. Dhruv Jurel also performed strongly, but his cameo was cut short by player of the match Rashid Khan.
Rashid’s spell of 4/33 essentially broke the back of RR’s middle order. No one in RR’s middle-order could make any real contribution except Ravindra Jadeja, who top-scored with 38 runs, but Rashid also had his number.
Despite coming into the attack late, Jason Holder cleaned up the tail to give GT a 77-run win and take them to second place in the points table.

Shubman Gill trolled Rajasthan Royals
After the match, Gill targeted Rajasthan Royals on Instagram. In each of GT’s last three wins, Gill had trolled the losing team.
For example, after GT defeated Chennai Super Kings on April 26, Shubman Gill posted a photo of himself holding a yellow whistle.

Following GT’s win over Royal Challengers Bangalore on 30 April, Gill posted an appreciation for Player of the Match Jason Holder.
Gill also found words to sneer after GT defeated Punjab Kings on May 3.
Now, Shubman Gill has decided to take on Rajasthan Royals. After GT’s win, Gill posted a picture of himself and Rashid Khan closing their ears. The photo was captioned, “Pink city, blue result. Khamma Ghani.”
Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan, is known as the Pink City, while ‘Khamma Ghani’ is a traditional Rajasthani greeting.
Shubman Gill’s form in IPL 2026
Gill has now led Gujarat Titans to four consecutive wins and are second in the points table. His own form with the bat has played a key role in this mid-season resurgence.
With 462 runs in 10 matches, Gill is currently ranked fourth in the Orange Cap list for IPL 2026. He has scored 4 fifties and his runs have come at an average of 46.20 and a strike rate of over 160.
