The Asian Cricket Council (ACC), led by Mohsin Naqvi, is now focusing on administrative matters in Dubai amid dramatic incidents, both in and out in the region. In particular, the ACC will re -add its pending annual general meeting later this month, where unresolved issues are expected to address.
The ACC has resumed its annual general meeting for September 30, two days after the final of the Asia Cup 2025, which is to be played on 28 September at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. In particular, the AGM will address the issues pending from the session which was suddenly postponed in Dhaka a few months ago.
ACC reinforced AGM on 30 September in Dubai after Dhaka adjournment
According to a report by Cricbuzz, the Asian Cricket Council is preparing for its annual meeting in Dubai on 30 September. Mohsin Naqvi, head of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), will preside over the upcoming meeting.

The agenda has not yet been officially shared, but a number of controversies are expected to be discussed, including the No-Handshek incident and the ongoing Asia Cup controversy over the match referee.
The ACC Vice President is expected to be addressed in the AGM in the election. The issue was left unresolved during the July 24 meeting in Dhaka after the BCCI protest and is expected to be one of the most important points.
Uncertainty on BCCI representation in the upcoming ACC annual meeting
It is not clear who will represent the Control Board for Cricket in India (BCCI) at the annual meeting of the upcoming Asian Cricket Council. Guwahati has time overlap with the Women’s ODI World Cup, where officials are expected to attend the opening ceremony.
Clarity on India’s representation would have emerged at the BCCI’s annual general meeting in Mumbai only on September 28. Rajiv Shukla and Ashish Sheller are India’s current nominated representatives for ACC and almost attended the Dhaka meeting earlier this year.
The ILT20 organizers have postponed their player’s auction from September 30 to October 1 in Dubai to avoid confrontation and ensure full attention with ACC proceedings.
ICC protests against Pakistan’s protest with referee Andy Pycroft
The Pakistan-UAE match in Dubai on Wednesday, 17 September delayed an hour. Mohsin Naqvi accused the ICC match referee Andy Picroft of violating the code of conduct during the India-Pakistan toss, when the captain refused to join hands, and demanded the removal of it.
The ICC investigated the incident and rejected the call to replace the Pycroft. In particular, the ICC maintained Pycroft despite hazards of withdrawal from several emails and tournaments.
Pycroft held meetings with Pakistani officials, including Captain Salman Agha, manager Naved Akram Cheema Cheema Cheema Cheema and coach Mike Hessen. PCB released a muted video on social media. Pycroft committed the game of game and will continue to look after the remaining matches of Pakistan in the Asia Cup 2025
