BCCI mediated between DDCA and ACB

TOI report has claimed Afghanistan Cricket Board approached BCCI for the return tour and since BCCI is helping many boards in their administration, they have Agreed to this because of his good relations.

“There is a good relationship between BCCI and ACB. BCCI is helping other boards like Ireland, Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe by sending Indian teams to play A series there to promote Finance of Those boards. “The BCCI brokered an agreement between the ACB and the Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) for the availability of a home base for Afghanistan for the series. The DDCA is also scheduling its Delhi Premier League T20 accordingly,” he said.

India’s selectors will select the team keeping the Asian Games in mind

Afghanistan has hosted matches in India for almost a decade, as they Earlier, series were played against Ireland in 2017 and Bangladesh in 2018 in Greater Noida and Dehradun respectively. The last time they hosted New Zealand in Greater Noida in September 2024.
