Afghanistan cricket team has announced the arrival of its youth team in India, Afghanistan U-19 team is touring India for the Tri Youth ODI series which will feature two Indian teams, India U19 A and India U19 B. The tour begins in the same window as the Pakistan triangular series.
In the past also BCCI has supported the Afghanistan Cricket Board and supported them for their development. Afghanistan’s only Test against New Zealand was also played on Indian soil, a testament to the good relations between the two boards.
After withdrawing from Pakistan tour, ACB announced triangular series in India
Following attacks by Pakistan on Afghan territory, the ACB announced its decision to withdraw from the triangular series scheduled to be held in Pakistan from 17 November. This had massive implications; However, several players like Rashid Khan and Gulbadin Naib came forward to support the ACB’s decision.
ACB has now announced a triangular series in India, in which their youth team will come to play in the subcontinent. The Indian U19 side will be divided into two separate sides, A and B, along with the Afghanistan U19 side. A total of 6 matches will be played between the three teams, twice against each opponent.
Then both the top teams will face each other in the final match of the series on November 30. This is a great opportunity for Afghan youth to come out and participate in an international competition.

BCCI shows solidarity towards ACB after the death of cricketers in air strike
Earlier on Friday, Taliban officials had taken a dig at Pakistani forces for violating the ceasefire and attacking on the outskirts of Afghan territory within 48 hours. This resulted in the death of 10 innocent civilians, three of whom were said to be cricketers.
The ACB confirmed these developments, resulting in the BCCI issuing a statement expressing its condolences to the families of the cricketers killed in the attacks, as well as showing solidarity with the Afghanistan Cricket Board.
Afghanistan U19 tour of India: full schedule
After pulling out of the Pakistan tour, the Afghanistan Cricket Board has announced participation in a tri-series for its youth team in the same window between November 17 and 30. India will then host South Africa for a series in senior international cricket, while Afghanistan U19 will be hosted by India U19 Teams A and B at the BCCI Center of Excellence in Bengaluru.
