Adam Zampa took brutal revenge on KL Rahul, the Indian abused himself!

The right-handed batsman came to bat in the 33rd over after Zampa clean bowled a well-set Shreyas Iyer for 61.

Zampa pulls Australia back into the contest

On the last ball, Iyer hit the Australian spinner for a four and went for another big shot, but he had to pay the price for it.

Zampa bowled a ball outside off stump, and Iyer looked to hit it down the ground, but a thick inside edge ended up coming back onto the stumps.

Adam Zampa dismissed KL Rahul

KL Rahul lost his wicket on the ball of Adam Zampa in the 37th over. The over started well for the Indian star and he hit the leg spinner for a four on the first ball. He danced on the track and went in and out over extra cover to hit a beautiful shot.

However, Adam Zampa once again had the last laugh when he dismissed KL Rahul on the very next ball. It was a flipper over short length off the Australian spin spearhead, and Rahul decided to pull it.

He stepped back to play a pull shot but lost pace as the ball hit the top of the off stump. Rahul had to be out on just 11 runs.

Losing Rahul is a huge blow for India, as it was their third consecutive wicket. In the 30th over of the innings, Mitchell Starc dismissed Rohit Sharma for 73 runs, ending his 118-run partnership with Iyer, but he was later dismissed by Zampa.

Before India could recover from those double shocks, Zampa struck again to remove Rahul. With Rahul’s dismissal, India’s score reduced from 135/2 to 174/5. At the time of writing this report, India were at 196/5 in the 40th over with Axar Patel and Washington Sundar batting in the middle.
