He became the youngest cricketer to win the Orange Cap after scoring 776 runs in the tournament and finishing as the leading run scorer, and also won the Most Valuable Player (MVP) award at the age of 15.

Abhishek Sharma, while speaking to reporters, highlighted Vaibhav’s enthusiastic desire to learn from senior cricketers and also revealed that the coach and the entire team are doing everything possible to help him settle in the dressing room.
“As a team, I think it’s our responsibility to make him comfortable. And obviously he’s a young guy and I thought he’s very eager to play all the time. He’s just learning.”
“He asks questions, so I think he has that thing in him where he wants to learn a lot of things and obviously it’s a dream for him too. So we are trying our best to make him feel like he belongs in the group,” Abhishek told reporters after the first T20 match.
Will Vaibhav Suryavanshi debut on Sunday?
His exclusion remained a major talking point as Vaibhav Suryavanshi failed to make his senior international debut after his impressive performances in recent months. The Men in Blue continued with the opening combination of Sanju Samson and Abhishek Sharma that led them to the T20 World Cup win.
Vaibhav Suryavanshi has been in the news for the past few months after he posted an innings of 94 off 29 balls in the List A tri-series final against the Sri Lanka A national cricket team. His much-anticipated debut for the senior team did not happen on Friday; However, the final T20I is expected to take place on Sunday.
