Yuvraj Singh was important in India’s 2007 T20 World Cup win. The left -handed batsman hit the sixth sixes in an over against England and gave a significant innings in the semi -finals against Australia. He was also part of India’s ODI World Cup winning team in 2011.

During the same video, Ravichandran Ashwin said that vice-captain Shubman Gill would face pressure on India’s return to the T20I side. However, Ashwin said that Gill could become one of the major run-scores of the tournament.
Ashwin said, “Shubman Gill will have some pressure to score runs. So at a strike rate of 140–150, he has a great chance to finish the tournament as the highest run-match,” said Ashwin.
Shubman Gill has not shown in T20I since India’s visit to Sri Lanka in July last July. However, he gave an impressive performance in the IPL 2025 and England Test series, with a strike rate of 578 runs and 139.27 in an average 21 T20I matches of 30.42.
Gill is expected to open with Abhishek Sharma at the top of India’s batting order, with Sanju Samson’s order to be dropped or pushed down. The Gill-Shama pair aims to provide a strong, strong start for India throughout the tournament.
