Former Australia captain Aaron Finch has named the best bowler he faced as a batsman in white-ball cricket. During his vast international and franchise cricket career, Finch had faced many top-class bowlers. In such a situation, it was not easy for him to name the best bowler. But, as per the rules of the video, he had to crown one of the top bowlers as number one.
Finch made his debut for the Australia national cricket team in 2011, and his last international match for Australia was a T20 International (T20I) against Ireland during the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup on 31 October 2022. During this period, he faced many quality fast bowlers from around the world.

According to Aaron Finch, who is the best fast bowler in limited overs cricket?
The 39-year-old is now a retired cricketer, working as a cricket pundit and commentator, and has a bag full of experience, which helped shape the video competitively. The video shared by ESPNCricinfo includes stars like Mohammed Shami, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Jasprit Bumrah, Mark Wood, Kagiso Rabada, Shaheen Afridi, Haris Rauf, Chris Woakes, Jofra Archer, Tim Southee, Jason Holder, Trent Boult, Stuart Broad and Mohammad Amir.
The video starts with a comparison between Mohammed Shami and the England fast bowler. When the questioner took the name of South African fast bowler Kagiso Rabada, Shami was out of the competition. Kagiso Rabada remained in the contest for a long time, defying the odds of Shami, Pakistan’s Shaheen Afridi and Haris Rauf.
But he had to go out of contention as Aaron Finch preferred to vote for England’s Chris Woakes. The other fast bowler in the video is Chris Woakes, who remains in the news for a long time. The former Australian batsman placed the English pacer above Rabada, New Zealand’s Tim Southee, West Indies’ Jason Holder and another Englishman Jofra Archer.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Jasprit Bumrah out
It is Indian swing master Bhuvneshwar Kumar who defeated the Protea seamer. Kumar could not last long in the debate as Finch put New Zealand fast bowler Trent Boult ahead of him. After perpetuating a few sets of comparisons, Aaron Finch dismissed the Kiwi pacer, preferring to call him ‘Dale Steyn’.
Indian fast bowling leader Jasprit Bumrah is also in the news. But he is not the bowler who occupies the number one position. It is Dale Steyn who concludes the list as the No. 1 bowler in the eyes of Aaron Finch.
Aaron Finch’s rating on the fast bowlers he has faced in the limited overs format:
