Aaron Finch has claimed the captaincy of IPL compared to major Australia

Former Australian national cricket team captain Aaron Finch has said that he captained the IPL in comparison to the leadership of his country internationally in the IPL.

Aaron Finch also revealed how he felt about the teams continuously switching in the Indian Premier League (IPL) and did not get a permanent franchise that he could call his home.

IPL was probably the most difficult – Aaron Finch

Finch played for nine teams – Mumbai Indians, Kolkata Knight Riders, Gujarat Lions, Kings XI Punjab, Delhi Daredevils, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Rajasthan Royals and Pune Warriors – in their long Indian Premier League (IPL) career.

He started his career in the Indian Premier League (IPL) with Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the 2009/10 season and ended with a term in 2022 with Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).

Overall, he played 92 matches in the Marki Indian T20 League and scored 2091 runs and on an average scored 25.19 and the strike rate at 128.20.

Aaron Finch is considered one of the best T20 players of all time, and he also led Australia for the T20 World Cup 2021 Triumph and Melbourne Renegade for the BBL title in the 2018-19 season. He captained a lot of teams in various leagues in his career, but found the captaincy’s tenure with Pune Warriors in the IPL.

“IPL was probably the most difficult, because you’re coming together for a short time. In Pune Warriors, I came as a replacement player, and then two or three games later, I was the captain. I was the captain. I did not have time to know everyone in the squad, which is really difficult.

“While captaining Australia, you have found some of the best players in the world all the time, so my job was very easy.

I made my IPL debut for Rajasthan Royals – Aaron Finch

Aaron Finch further talked about his first IPL stent with Rajasthan Royals (RR), where he signed a contract of only three years due to changes in rules.

“I made my IPL debut for Rajasthan Royals. I played a match under Warney (Shane Warne) as a replacement player, the last game of the year. It’s fun how your career can take different turns. At the end of that year, I signed a three-year deal with Rajasthan.

“I was an uncontempted player, and he was above the board at that time. We went to the Champions League, and I had already closed my three -year deal with Rajasthan. Everyone else was playing for an IPL deal, in fact, but it didn’t bother me how I went, and I did well and then, before the auction, so far, everyone could have a sign in.”

Either I was a good player who kept getting up – Aaron Finch

Talking about representing 9 different teams, Aaron Finch abandoned a cruel honest comment. He said that either he was a good player to be selected by different teams or was not quite good to maintain it. He said:

“This is a good way to see. I was either a good player who was picked up, or I was not just so good that it was not quite good to be a one or two-frainchise type of player. Certainly, I liked to be in a franchise throughout the time.”
