Punjab Kings co-owner and Bollywood actress Preity Zinta is facing huge wrath on social media for her shocking stance on the ongoing student protests across the country demanding the sacking of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
After earlier lending his support to the ongoing student protests led by the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) and Sonam Wangchuk, the Punjab Kings co-owner has now claimed that the protests are being “hijacked by anti-national elements.” Meanwhile, the BCCI is unhappy with the CoE over India’s injury concerns, with seniors raising concerns.
In her latest post, Preity Zinta urged everyone to protect the core objective of the movement and said that the voice of students demanding reforms should not be suppressed or ‘hijacked’ by anti-national elements. The Bollywood actress stressed that meaningful conversations while focusing on the real concerns of students is the best way forward.
Not only this, Preity Zinta also hinted at the presence of “bad elements” within and outside the country who may take advantage of the anger and frustration of the students during the agitation. He believes that such forces can divert attention from the real demands of the students and create unnecessary unrest.
Preity Zinta posted on Her Have started working overtime to weaponize despair.” By our students.
PBKS co-owner calls for ‘dialogue’ between students and government
Preity Zinta supported India’s democracy and law and order and urged both sides to engage in meaningful dialogue by removing all “nefarious elements” and hidden agendas from the protests. These comments angered social media users and they have now criticized him mercilessly.
Preity Zinta further said in her post, “I have always believed in hard work, equality and excellence, and this should never be compromised. I also believe in our democracy, law and order and our government; therefore, I sincerely hope that both sides will have meaningful and constructive dialogue and drive out any nefarious elements and agendas from this protest and dialogue so that the future is bright for our youth and our democracy! Jai Hind!”
Preity Zinta’s post on student protests took social media by storm, with many users accusing the actress of defaming the government. Many people criticized the actress for her sudden change in stance. One user wrote, “Clearly the people supporting this tweet show without a doubt where your loyalties lie – I expected better from you.”
Another criticized her, saying, “This tweet is complete damage control, Preeti ji. Your tweet yesterday was on a completely different alignment. You were directly blaming our security forces for hurting the students. One user said, “Madam, there is always a chance that these types of protests will be filled with all kinds of people. And if you were unsure, why did you tweet at all?β
One user said, “Madam, there is always a possibility of these types of protests; they are full of all types of people. But the government should have acted swiftly in this matter and held some people accountable for all those paper leaks and non-transparency on the part of the government. The dialogue should have started long ago.”
Another trolled Preeti by saying, “Got the script”. To which the Punjab Kings co-owner candidly replied, “Scripts are found in movies… not in real life! Just for your information.” Meanwhile, David Warner faces up to 9 months in jail after pleading guilty to drink driving charges.
Here’s how Preity Zinta faced brutal backlash online
What is anti-national element? And what online hatred and division did you see? Who are the people outside the country who are trying to do something against us? You also know that all this is irrelevant, false and meaningless. When you don’t have the courage, remain silent. Stay on the ting..

Can you tell the names of those traitors? Pathetic spineless “actress”
β Ajinkyatara (@AjinkyaaSpeaks_) July 22, 2026
Just shut up.. If you don’t come out for support like your other Bollywood clan then it is far better than cleverly sowing seeds of doubt on the movement to divide the protesters… Shameful…

You have limited yourself to Godi media, after the change of power you will be overturned.

Ma’am we respect you a lot, we love you a lot!!!! Please don’t say such words… They want to tag students as traitors so that they can do any cruelty… You have seen the video how police goons are beating students, especially molesting girls…

It seems your ideas have been hijacked, go run your IPL team and business. BJP has all the looted money from middle class people. People like you are also one of the beneficiaries. So to keep that money safe. Shame on you for coming up with this nonsense narrative.

Ignoring peaceful protests for 20 days and reacting only after they turn violent sends the wrong message. Violence is on the government, paper leaks are on the government, scams are on the government. Now the time has come for those sitting on the throne to take accountability.

Which anti-national elements?? Name them properly so we know
Haven’t you seen Delhi Police sexually exploiting students?? Or people in civilian dress attacking protesters or people in RAF uniform but no nametags??
