Ravi Bishnoi, who scored 29 with three consecutive no-balls against England in a T20I match at the Old Trafford cricket ground, is ready to work with Sunil Joshi to readjust his bowling.

After 29 run outs, the Indian team management did not include the wrist spinner for the remainder of the T20I series, but named him again in the T20I squad for India’s tour of Zimbabwe due to Varun Chakravarthy’s injury. Bishnoi may get a chance to work with former India spinner Sunil Joshi during the India vs Zimbabwe T20 series.

Ravi Bishnoi was dropped from the playing eleven against England

Varun Chakravarthy’s injury forced the selectors to retain Bishnoi for another T20I series. The management showed that they had no confidence in the spinner by keeping Ravi on the bench after a couple of disastrous overs for the remainder of the competition.

Team India was in a position to defeat England in the second match of the 5-match T20 series in Manchester. England were on the backfoot as they lost most of their key batsmen in the run chase. Only Jacob Bethell was at the crease, the last pure batsman in England’s batting. If India had taken one more wicket, the result of the match could have been different.

in 17th At the end of the match, captain Shreyas Iyer handed the ball to Bishnoi. And it proved to be disastrous for the Men in Blue as the spinner offered several no-balls and ultimately conceded 29 runs in that over. Jacob Bethel became the player of the match by scoring unbeaten 76 runs in 46 balls to help the home team win.

Ravi Bishnoi’s international career is uncertain

After the match, Bishnoi was unsure about playing for India in the near future. However, he remained on hold due to injury to Varun Chakraborty.

According to the report by RevSportz, the BCCI had planned to send Ravi Bishnoi to the board’s Center of Excellence in Bengaluru to work on his bowling under the guidance of former spinner and now coach Sunil Joshi. However, the plan had to be canceled as Bishnoi had to travel to Zimbabwe with the Indian cricket team for the next T20I series.

Interestingly, Bishnoi may train under Joshi in Zimbabwe. For the series against Zimbabwe, VVS Laxman, the head of cricket in BCCI’s CoE, may be in charge of the Indian team instead of Gautam Gambhir and Co.

Former India spinner Sunil Joshi will help Ravi Bishnoi

As Laxman is expected to travel to Zimbabwe along with his assistant coaches, Sunil Joshi, the spin-bowling coach at the BCCI Center of Excellence, may also visit Zimbabwe to work with the senior Indian cricket team, where Ravi Bishnoi will be part of the squad. It would be a golden opportunity for the 25-year-old if he gets a chance to work closely with Joshi without being dropped from the team.

It is also believed that the Indian team management may retain Ravi Bishnoi in the team as there are not too many wrist spinners in the pipeline.
