Speaking to IANS, BCCI secretary Devjit Saikia acknowledged that India’s T20 team is going through a tough phase, but stressed that the board will assess the reasons for the slump before taking corrective steps.
“The thing is very simple. The Indian T20 team is going through a bad phase in its matches against England and Ireland earlier. So, we will have to review after this series is over. Every team has a bad phase and right now, the men’s T20 team is also going through a bad phase in terms of its performance.”
“So, we have to look at what problems they are facing and we will definitely try to sort it out by doing a detailed review after the series is over. The review will take place soon after the ODI series ends in England on July 19.”
