We’ve got our strategy – Harry Brook on Vaibhav Suryavanshi
England captain Harry Brook said that his team has prepared a special plan to face Vaibhav Suryavanshi.Even though Kishore’s T20I debut is yet to be confirmed. Brook admitted that England have closely studied the game of the young batsmen before the start of the series.
Asked about facing Suryavanshi, Brooke said, “We’ve got our strategies and hopefully they will work.” “There has been a lot of digging behind the scenes to see what we can do. To try to stop them from playing their best cricket.”
The 15-year-old is still awaiting his international debut after missing out during the Ireland series. The demand for his inclusion has increased after India’s 2-0 defeat in Belfast, especially after the struggles of the opening pair.
The series against Ireland was difficult for Abhishek Sharma and Sanju Samson. Abhishek scored 49 and 0, while Samson managed to score 5 and 0, with both the batsmen out for a duck in the second T20I.
Vaibhav Suryavanshi eyes India’s debut on England tour
If Vaibhav Suryavanshi makes his debut in the first T20 match against England, he will become India’s youngest international cricketer, breaking the long-standing record of Sachin Tendulkar. The 15-year-old was included in the squad for the first time after outstanding performances in domestic and age-group cricket.
Suryavanshi made his way into the national team after a sensational IPL 2026 season with Rajasthan Royals. He scored 776 runs in 16 innings at a strike rate of 237.30 and won both the Player of the Tournament and Emerging Player awards.
The left-handed batsman carried that form into the Tri-Nation A series in Dambulla. He scored the fastest half-century in List A history with a half-century in 11 balls against Sri Lanka A and followed it up with a brilliant inning of 94 runs in 29 balls in the final.
