The Indian cricket team has made two surprise changes in the playing eleven for the second and final T20 match against Ireland in Belfast.
Prince Yadav and Suryansh Shedge are all set to make their T20 International debut for the Men in Blue today.

Prince Yadav and Suryansh Shedge were influential in white-ball cricket
Prince Yadav had an impressive performance against Afghanistan during the ODI series. The fast bowler, who made headlines with Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) during the Indian Premier League 2026 (IPL 2026) season, made his ODI debut against Afghanistan. Now he is all set to play his first T20 match.
On the other hand, rising all-rounder, Suryansh Shedge, who played some important innings for Punjab Kings and then India A team during the tri-series ODI in Sri Lanka, was named in the T20I squad as a replacement for injured seam bowling all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy, earning his first cap for the senior national cricket team.
Meanwhile, India won the toss and captain Shreyas Iyer decided to bowl first. “Yes, we have got two changes. Suryansh Shedge and Prince Yadav have come in. Both are debutants. So those are the two changes we have made,” Iyer told the toss.

Shreyas Iyer on Suryansh Shedge
As a Punjab Kings cricketer, Suryash Shedge has the experience of playing under Shreyas Iyer. Being the captain, Iyer also knows what emerging talent can bring to the field which can benefit the team.
Praising Shays’ batting skills at the time of the toss, Iyer mentioned that the 23-year-old had done quite well for domestic cricket, IPL and India A.
Shreyas Iyer said about Suryash Shedge, “He is a powerful, destructive batsman. Yes, he is a sensational youngster who is scoring runs in domestic cricket and in the IPL as well. He has tremendous experience in youth cricket. So definitely he has performed in the A tours. So he is getting the advantage, he is getting the advantage.”
Shreyas Iyer on Prince Yadav
The inclusion of Prince Yadav looks very exciting even on paper as the promising fast bowler has experienced a huge surge in his career.
Obviously it’s his first game, so I don’t want to put too much pressure on him. It is important that he comes here and experiences what it has to offer. And they must have seen how we played in the last game. So he’s definitely smart enough to adopt it.
