Despite a series of controversies off the field, Ben Stokes has achieved another feat as a seam bowling all-rounder during England vs New Zealand 3.third Trial at Trent Bridge.

The match against New Zealand must be won at any cost, Stokes has been performing brilliantly with the ball while most of the England bowlers have failed to impress so far. After the first day, the visitors were in the driving seat with an opportunity to add more runs on the scoreboard. The opening pair of Tom Latham and Devon Conway gave a huge boost to the Blackcaps, as New Zealand captain Latham made 151 and Conway made 157 in a partnership of 317 for the first wicket.

New Zealand could have easily achieved a huge score in their first innings due to a strong opening wicket partnership. On the second day, the host team made a brilliant comeback by taking wickets at short intervals. Mitchell Santner was the fourth wicket of Ben Stokes’s innings so far.
