MI New York all-rounder Kieron Pollard was involved in a heated on-field altercation with Shubham Ranjane during the MLC 2026 match against Texas Super Kings. The incident occurred when Kieron Pollard was seen blocking Ranjane while running between the wickets, leading to a tense argument between the two players.

Nicholas Pooran-led MI New York registered an eight-wicket win over Texas Super Kings at the Grand Prairie Stadium in Dallas on Monday, June 22 (India Time). Super Kings, led by Donovan Ferreira, scored 158 runs, but MI New York chased down the target with ease in the 18th over and secured a crucial win.
There was a heated clash on the field between Kieron Pollard and Shubham Ranjane.
This incident happened during the 12th over of the Texas Super Kings innings. Kieron Pollard was bowling his only over of the match, when Shubham Ranjane tried to take a quick run. Pollard stayed on his follow-through path and the two players collided in the middle of the pitch.

On the very next ball, Pollard stopped during the run-up and looked threatening to attempt a run-out at the non-striker’s end. In response, Ranjane withdrew from his crease before the ball was completed, leading to a heated exchange between the two players once again.
Former New Zealand fast bowler Danny Morrison said the collision could have been avoided and pointed out that Pollard had a clear view of Ranjane running down the pitch.
Morrison said that Ranjane was focused on the ball and would not have seen Pollard standing in his way. According to the commentator, Pollard had enough time to move aside and avoid the collision altogether.
