Phil Simmons emphasizes commitment to Bangladesh’s Test identity
While Liton’s injury has changed Bangladesh’s plans, the head coach phil simmons has made it clear that the team’s broader focus will remain unchanged. Speaking ahead of the tour, Simmons said he was more interested in the style and standard of cricket produced by his team than the end result.

“These days, I don’t worry about those things. The thing is that we have started playing cricket the way we want to play it, especially in Test cricket. The last two games against Pakistan have shown how we want to play Test cricket. That’s the way we will go to Zimbabwe and try to play. It is good preparation for the Australia Test series. But there is work to be done when the Test players come back. We have time before we go to Australia. Before that we have more work to do Go there.
