The Telangana Cricket Association (TCA) has provided India with some amazing cricketers over the years. From players like Mohammed Azharuddin, Ambati Rayudu, Mohammed Siraj and Tilak Verma. All the cricketers have made their name for the Indian national cricket team in different ways. Now the latter three cricketers are in legal trouble.
TCA issued legal notices to cricketers Tilak Verma, Ambati Rayudu and Mohammed Siraj as well as film actors Vijay Deverakonda and Venkatesh over their inclusion in the TG20 league. The TCA alleged in the notification that the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) is doing business with corporate organizations without the permission of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).

TG20 set to be banned?
They are promoting the TG20 league without such approval, which is a violation. The organization has raised concerns over the league’s regulatory stance and the potential consequences of celebrity endorsements. According to Telugu 360 report, HCA is collecting funds and conducting commercial cricket operations under an unauthorized banner, while also misleading corporate partners and cricket fans.
TCA had earlier protested against the illegal conduct of the TG20 league at Indira Park in Hyderabad on the same day when HCA also held the auction of its players. General Secretary Guruva Reddy in Telangana Today cited some specific HCA laws to support the association’s position. He said Rule 28 places the burden entirely on the HCA General Body to elect the Governing Council through formal elections.
This rule 31 will also apply to key players like Tilak Verma and Mohammed Siraj-Guruva Reddy.
“Also, under Rule 30, the HCA Governing Council must obtain written permission from the BCCI. Without following any of these rules, a self-proclaimed Governing Council is deceiving the public by claiming that they have BCCI permission when they do not,” the outlet quoted him as saying.

Reddy further warned of serious consequences for all parties involved. “As a result, under Rule 31, HCA recognition may be revoked, and participating players, officials and organizations may face sanctions. This Rule 31 will also apply to key players such as Tilak Verma and Mohammed Siraj.”
Tilak Verma took India A to the final
Mohammed Siraj and Tilak Verma are currently in isolation as the former fast bowler has been rested from the Test-playing ODI series against Afghanistan and the upcoming T20I series against Ireland and England to manage his workload and avoid fatigue. After consultation between the BCCI medical team and the team management.
Tilak is captaining the India A team, which is touring Sri Lanka for a List A tri-series. He defeated Afghanistan by 101 runs and took the team to the final of the series. The southpaw has scored three half-centuries in four matches and has also led the team well.
Tilak has also been appointed as the new vice-captain of the India national cricket team for the Ireland and England series and the Asian Games 2026. Tilak Verma has replaced Axar Patel as the vice-captain and will act as the vice-captain to Shreyas Iyer, who has replaced Suryakumar Yadav.
