Prince Yadav took a brilliant catch in his first match for Team India in the ODI match against Afghanistan tonight. He covered a lot of ground before throwing his body in the air to take a diving catch to dismiss the Afghanistan batsman Ibrahim Zadran.
On the first ball of the 14th over of the second innings, fast bowler Arshdeep Singh hit the deck hard for a short length ball. The Afghan batsman was in a position to play a pull shot, but he went for it and missed.
Prince Yadav tried hard before catching the ball clean
The ball went high in the air and was about to fall in no man’s land. Lucknow Super Giants fast bowler Prince Yadav, who has played a lot of cricket at the Ekana Cricket Stadium, was deployed at deep backward square leg.
From there he started running and took the catch at midwicket. Ibrahim Zadran scored 21 out of 31; Afghanistan lost their second wicket while chasing India’s first innings score of 402 runs.
