Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced its squad for the Asian Games 2026. Like the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), the PCB has also decided to send a full-strength squad to Japan to remain relevant in the title race.

Mohsin Naqvi-led PCB has appointed Sahibzada Farhan as the captain of the team and Abdul Samad as the deputy captain. While the team includes Farhan, Samad, Saim Ayub, Abrar Ahmed and many other stars, there is no Babar Azam or Shaheen Afridi.

On June 10, the PCB revealed in its official media release, “Sahibzada Farhan will lead the Pakistan men’s team at the Asian Games 2026 to be held in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan from September 19 to October 4. The 10-team men’s T20I competition will be played at the Korogi Athletic Park in Aichi Prefecture.”
Additionally, 14 of the 15 players selected for the Asian Games squad are part of the NCA white-ball camp, which is scheduled to begin on Monday, June 15 in Lahore.
