The Indian national cricket team has received a big boost as the latest update suggests that Virat Kohli is expected to be available for the upcoming three-match ODI series against England next month.

Recently, there is a lot of uncertainty regarding Kohli’s hamstring injury during IPL 2026. He reportedly injured his right hamstring during the IPL 2026 final against Gujarat Titans in Ahmedabad. Nevertheless, he scored an unbeaten half-century and helped RCB lift the trophy.

Now, Jagran News journalist Abhishek Tripathi shared that the fitness report has already been submitted to the Indian cricket team management, and it has confirmed that Kohli is suffering from a hamstring injury. As a precaution, he has been advised to stay away from cricket for two weeks.

During this period, the right-handed batsman has been advised to focus solely on recovery and rehabilitation and that is why he has been ruled out of the upcoming three-match ODI series against Afghanistan at home. But the medical team is confident that the former Indian captain will be fully fit by the time India travels to England for a white-ball series in July 2026.
