Gujarat Titans captain Shubman Gill claimed that he would be very happy to return to the Indian T20I team after a promising season in the IPL and will aim to keep improving his game.

Shubman Gill played a big role in the huge success of Gujarat Titans in IPL. Under his leadership, the Titans have made it to the finals of the 2026 season, and Gill himself helped it by scoring a brilliant century in Qualifier 2 against RR.
Shubman Gill keen to re-enter Indian T20I team
After scoring 700+ runs in this season of IPL, Shubman Gill has proved why he is often considered the prince of Indian cricket and is considered one of the most important players in the recent generations of cricket in India.

Gill has not only added runs for his team this season but has also changed his batting technique, increasing his strike rate from 143.14 last season to 159.20 this season.
On his interest in being selected in the Indian team, Shubman Gill said, “I mean, if I get picked for the T20 team I’d be happy to play, but honestly I just want to keep working on my game. It doesn’t matter what format it is.”
“I want to keep getting better as a T20 batsman, as an ODI batsman, as a Test batsman… Cricket is a game you can never really be perfect in, but obviously you can strive for it and that’s what I try to do,” he said.
