Sai Sudarshan again fell in bizarre hit-wicket fashion; Shubman Gill was surprised

Sai Sudarshan ended his fine innings against Rajasthan Royals in the second Qualifier with another bizarre dismissal, where he cut down his own stumps with the bat.

Gujarat Titans may have their luck riding on them in the second qualifier at the New PCA Stadium in New Chandigarh, but not Sai Sudarshan. Sudarshan has been unlucky in the last two matches, as he has been out hit wicket both times.

Sudarshan once again got off to a good start for Gujarat Titans when he came in to open the innings along with his captain Shubman Gill. Both have now completed 800+ runs as the opening pair in the season and their success is tremendous.

Sudarshan also completed his 700 runs in this season, becoming the first batsman to score 700+ runs in consecutive seasons. He also completed his half-century in the match and contributed to an excellent partnership of 167 runs with the captain.

However, when he hit his bat back onto the stumps he was out to Brijesh Sharma, giving him out hit wicket for the second time in two matches. Sudarshan played another brilliant shot when he bowled a yorker and the ball went towards the fence. However, the bat fell on the stumps and Sudarshan had to go out.
