At the end of the group stage of the ongoing Indian Premier League 2026 (IPL 2026), Mumbai Indians (MI) were forced to make a few signings due to several injuries.

In place of injured Quinton de Kock and Raj Angad Bawa, MI have added Mahipal Lomror and Saurashtra’s Ruchit Ahir as replacements. According to Cricbuzz Post, Lomror has joined MI for Rs 50 lakh, while Ahir has been signed for Rs 30 lakh.

MI is already out of the IPL 2026 title race
Meanwhile, MI are already out of the title race and have just one match to play before they can pack up their bags. Mumbai’s final group match will be against Rajasthan Royals tomorrow on May 24 at the Wankhede Stadium.
Currently, the Hardik Pandya-led team is at 9th positionth Only 8 points and a net run rate of -0.510 in 13 matches in the 10-team league. So far they have got only 4 wins against 9 losses. Only Lucknow Supergiants are behind them in terms of net run rate.
