Zimbabwe Cricket has confirmed that Bangladesh will tour the country for a lengthy series across three formats of the game. This series is scheduled to be played in the June and July window.
This series will be the first home assignment for Zimbabwe after the team’s successful performance in the ICC T20 World Cup 2026, which was jointly hosted by India and Sri Lanka in 2026. Zimbabwe had an undefeated streak in group-stage games, which included historic wins over Sri Lanka and Australia.

Zimbabwe announces multi-format series against Bangladesh
Zimbabwe Cricket has confirmed that Bangladesh will tour Zimbabwe for a one-off Test as well as a three-match ODI and T20I series. The series is planned in the window between June and July. The much-awaited tour is about to begin with a one-off Test.
The last time Zimbabwe and Bangladesh faced each other was in the Test series in Zimbabwe, where the visiting team was successful in winning one match over the host team. This followed a record-breaking narrow win for the Zimbabweans, marking their first win in this format after a period of four years.
The last time these two teams met in a white-ball series was in 2022, when the hosts put in an impressive performance to win 2-1 at the same Harare Sports Club. This white-ball series will give Bangladesh some experience of African pitches before the start of the ICC World Cup 2027.

Zimbabwe vs Bangladesh: Full schedule announced
The announced tour will consist of a one-off Test, which is scheduled to be held at the Harare Sports Club. Their stay in Harare for the next three matches will be a long one as the tour includes three more matches, which will be played in the 50-over format.
After this they will play the next three T20 matches between 15th and 19th July. Bangladesh, as well as the hosts, will head to Bulawayo for three matches in the shortest format of the game.

“Our supporters have every reason to be proud” – Givermore Makoni’s recent comments on Zimbabwe’s World Cup success
Zimbabwe Cricket (ZC) managing director Givemore Makoni claimed that the Bangladesh tour is an important moment for Zimbabweans, following the team’s recent rise in international cricket and their dominance in ICC tournaments.
“We are delighted to confirm Bangladesh’s tour of Zimbabwe in what we expect to be a highly competitive and exciting series across all formats,” he said.
“This tour is extremely important for us as it marks the return of top-level international cricket to our home venues following the team’s excellent performance at the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup earlier this year.
ZC managing director said, “Our supporters have every reason to be proud of what we have achieved in recent months, and we look forward to seeing fans in Harare and Bulawayo rallying behind the team once again.”
