It is an alarming sign for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) as their main keeper-batsman and in-form batsman Angkrish Raghuvanshi has not come to bat in the second innings.

KKR need 148 runs to win the match over Mumbai Indians (MI) at Eden Gardens. But they will have to chase without Angkrish Raghuvanshi. In place of the batsman, Ramandeep Singh joins the batting line-up as a concussion sub for Raghuvanshi.
Angkrish Raghuvanshi got injured in the first innings of the KKR vs MI match.
“Ramandeep Singh has replaced Angkrish Raghuvanshi as a concussion replacement,” KKR officially informed through a social media post. This could be a big takeaway from the match, as the budding batsman has been in exceptional form for Kolkata Knight Riders in the ongoing Indian Premier League 2026 (IPL 2026) season.

Angkrish Raghuvanshi was reportedly forced to leave the field due to a finger injury which he suffered in the first innings when KKR were fielding. Tejashwi Singh Dahiya entered the field as a substitute wicketkeeper for Kolkata Knight Riders. Due to injury, Raghuvanshi had to undergo treatment on the field itself. However, it is not clear when he suffered the injury.

KKR vs MI 1st innings recap
It was a tough day for Mumbai Indians batsmen at the Eden Gardens. Kolkata Knight Riders’ entire bowling line-up was brilliant in the match, restricting star-studded MI to just 147 runs for 8 wickets in 20 overs.
At one point in the innings, MI were down by 6 wickets, with only 95 runs on the scoreboard. Later, fast bowling all-rounder Corbin Bose played a vital role and helped the team post a respectable score. Bosch scored unbeaten 32 runs in 18 balls and Mumbai Indians captain Hardik Pandya scored 26 runs in 27 balls. The wicket was not easy for the batsmen.
Mumbai’s in-form batsman Tilak Verma scored only 20 runs in 32 balls. If Angkrish Raghuvanshi had not clashed with Varun Chakraborty, he could have been out early. KKR dropped a simple catch by Verma as Varun Chakravarthy and Angkrish Raghuvanshi collided while trying to catch the ball. To win the match, KKR will have to score 148 runs on a challenging pitch.
