Match No. 62 of the Tata Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 traveled from the north to the central part of India as Delhi Capitals (DC) hosted Rajasthan Royals (RR) at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, New Delhi. It was an upset match as DC did a double over the Men in Pink and kept their slim hopes of a playoff spot alive.
Axar Patel won the toss and decided to field first; He made a change with his debut for Tripurana Vijay. On the other hand, Rajasthan Royals captain Riyan Parag returned, and Ravindra Jadeja was out due to workload management, and Ravi Singh also made his debut for the Men in Pink.

After being asked to bat first, Vaibhav Suryavanshi went on the attack from the very first over; However, his opening partner Yashasvi Jaiswal was out early for 12 runs. But Vaibhav continued to score and was supported by Dhruv Jurel as they took the score to 75/1 in the power play. The former player returned after playing a brilliant inning of 46 runs in 16 balls.
After this, Dhruv Jurel and captain Ryan Parag made a partnership of 72 runs for the third wicket. The former scored 53 runs and Parag played a brilliant inning of 51 runs in 26 balls. KL Rahul and Abhishek Porel made a fast start to chase the target. The former player was lucky as his catch was dropped by Yashraj Punja, but after that, both the DC openers gave no chances and scored quickly and scored 72 runs inside the power play.
Porel completed his half-century in 29 balls and was out on the very next ball for 51 as the partnership collapsed at the score of 105. Rahul completed his half-century in 34 balls. He was out on the score of 56 runs as there was some drama in the middle overs.
Axar Patel got the job done despite wickets falling in the middle overs; The DC captain led his team to victory and won the match by 5 wickets, with Ashutosh Sharma providing the finish with 18 runs off 5 balls.
