Kolkata Knight Riders spinner Varun Chakravarthy has not been selected in KKR’s playing eleven against RCB as he has been struggling since the last game. Therefore, KKR has decided to give a chance to a young fast bowler to debut.

By winning four consecutive matches this season, Kolkata Knight Riders have taken themselves to a new level. Knight Riders are in a must-win situation and will need to win all the games from here to have their chances of reaching the playoffs.
Why did KKR leave out Varun Chakravarthy against RCB?
Kolkata Knight Riders may need their spinners to deliver top performances at the Raipur Stadium. However, it was clear that despite being slow, the pitch did not help the spinners much in the last game between RCB and MI.

KKR captain Ajinkya Rahane revealed at the toss that star Knight Riders spinner Varun Chakravarthy has been ruled out of the contest due to injury, which has seen him struggle in the last few matches. He was seen with crutches during KKR’s practice session.
“Unfortunately, Varun Chakravarthy was ruled out due to a minor injury. KKR captain said, “Saurabh Dubey has come in his place.”
