Riyan Parag has led his team to a strong position as they have now secured five wins in the competition. They have now moved up to second place in the IPL points table and their bowlers have helped them defend low scores.

Ravindra Jadeja helps Rajasthan Royals set the target of 160 runs
Rajasthan Royals batsmen struggled at the start of the innings, while the middle order also struggled. The middle order once again collapsed, while Ravindra Jadeja once again played well with the bat.
Ravindra Jadeja’s 43* helped them cross the 150-run mark and set a target of 160, with Shubham Dubey also making important contributions with the bat. However, throughout the innings, he failed to connect properly with the bat and kept losing wickets.
Jofra Archer and Nadre Berger help RR dominate LSG top-order in powerplay
While LSG’s fast bowlers played a vital role with the ball as well, Mayank Yadav was the only weak link in the attack, conceding 56 runs in his quota of 4 overs. However, RR’s fast bowlers were even better as they helped them in the power play.
Ravindra Jadeja and Ravi Bishnoi also took wickets in the middle overs. Breaking the partnership, Nandre Berger dismissed Mitchell Marsh, ending all hopes of chasing the target which looked distant after the middle stages.
Brijesh Sharma and Jofra Archer returned to take wickets in the death overs and this helped them increase their wicket tally.
Everyone cooperated a lot- Riyan Parag
Riyan Parag claimed in his post-match interview that he was very happy with his latest win. “Very happy. First of all, I think we were really weak with the bat. The way the wicket was playing when me and Hetty were batting, I think we had to be better. I thought, to be honest, even with the conditions we had, we were close to 180, and that would have been a really good score because I knew it was going to be slow later on,” he said.
He further added, “At the beginning of the tournament, the message from the group was that we would be a team that assesses and adapts, and I think in the last two games, the wickets we got, they adapted really well, and they batted according to the wicket, not just the way they wanted to bat.”
“It has nothing to do with the middle-order not scoring runs or whatever. If they get a flat wicket, they become aggressive. If they get another wicket like that, they can take some time off and then we can move on from there.”
He also reflected on his poor form and claimed that he would not change his approach: “Everyone has been very supportive. I am also going through a phase. Just before the IPL, I was going through some phase, and even now I am going through some phase, and everyone understands that. Everyone respects that, and I thank them for that.
“I feel the way I am batting and the innings are not too far away, but as I am saying, if I go tomorrow and play another game, it will be what the team needs. It is not that I am not scoring runs and taking my time to score 40 or 30 runs. That is not going to happen. I go out there, assess the conditions. If they want me to score 200 runs from the first ball, I am like that. I do.”
