Indian youngster Yash Dhull, who was once a part of India’s U19 winning team, revealed his thrilling experience of meeting former Indian captain and legendary CSK wicketkeeper MS Dhoni.
MS Dhoni is often called one of the greatest figures of world cricket. The wicketkeeper batsman from Jharkhand inspired several generations of cricketers, including modern Indian cricketers like Ishan Kishan.
While everyone is keenly keeping an eye on the Chennai Super Kings dugout for the return of legendary skipper Yash Dhull, the Indian star revealed the experience of his first meeting with the CSK legend, and that too at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
Yash Dhull reveals his first meeting with MS Dhoni
In recent times, MS Dhoni’s status as a great cricketer among the youth of the next generation has further increased. The future stars of the Indian team are thrilled to meet the legendary captain and a similar incident happened with Yash Dhull.
He revealed that, he met MS Dhoni for the first time during a match in Chepauk, and he called him inside the dressing room, where he clicked pictures and claimed that it was a big inspiration for him when Dhoni revealed that the legend knew him by name.

Who is Yash Dhull? India’s World Cup winning captain
Yash Dhull is a 23-year-old young cricketer who hails from Delhi state and is a star in domestic cricket. He made his domestic debut in first-class cricket for Delhi in the 2021–22 Ranji Trophy margin.
After scoring two centuries in his debut season, he was named captain of the ICC men’s under-19 cricket team. He also captained the Indian youth team to the title in the ACC Men’s U19 Asia Cup in 2021.
After this the captain performed brilliantly with the bat and led the Indian team to victory in the ICC Men’s U19 World Cup in 2022. He then made his List A debut for Delhi in 2022 and has also represented India A on several occasions.
Did Yash Dayal debut in IPL?
Yash Dayal has played for India A team in the ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup and he also scored a century in that league. He then made his IPL debut for Delhi Capitals in 2023, where he played several matches.
Dhull played only four of his matches in the IPL in 2023 and could score just 16 runs with a highest score of 13. However, it was during this tenure that he met the great MS Dhoni. In his career, he has scored 2777 runs in red-ball cricket at the domestic level, while he has also scored 611 runs in List A cricket and 1087 runs in the shortest format of the game.
