How would it be if we stay connected with cricket – Vikram Solanki

Bhogle commented, “Someone told me you celebrated your 50th birthday that day. That’s not true, is it? You look fit and young.”

“I’ll tell you what, Harsh, you’re getting some opportunities to score some points from me. How about we stick to cricket and talk about the guys who are out there?” Vikram Solanki said. Bhogle responded in good spirit, saying, “We will indeed do that. Thanks for joining us, Vikram.”

Former England cricketer Vikram Solanki joins GT as DOC since its inception in 2022. Before joining Gujarat Titans, he was the head coach of Surrey CCC and had experience as a player for England and Worcestershire. The former wicketkeeper batsman has worked well with head coach Ashish Nehra and won the IPL in the first season, and also finished as a finalist in 2023.

The way we bowled in the powerplay was very impressive – Shubhman Gill

After the game, captain Gill praised his bowlers, particularly mentioning Prasidh and Rashid Khan. GT didn’t have a good start, losing the first two, but now they have won two, and have moved up to 5th in the standings.

“The way we bowled in the powerplay was very impressive and the way we maintained the pressure in the middle overs was tremendous,” Gill said during the post-match presentation. [On Rashid Khan] The way Rashid is bowling at the moment, my life has become very easy. Every time another bowler is under pressure we come back into the game.”

GT will face bottom-placed Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on April 17 at their home ground Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad. The match is scheduled to start at 7:30 pm Indian time.
