Delhi Capitals broke the partnership when Axar Patel dismissed Rohit Sharma for 35 runs in 26 balls during the 10th over. Rohit had made a partnership of 53 runs, but due to his mistake in hitting aggressive shots, he could not progress further.
Axar bowled a slightly slower ball, which was inviting a big hit. Rohit tried to play aggressive shots but failed to gain height and sent the ball straight towards cover.
Nitish Rana reacted quickly, timing his jump perfectly to complete a sharp catch over his head. This wicket ended the momentum of Mumbai Indians and brought Sherfane Rutherford to the crease.
