Former Australian national cricket team opener David Warner is reportedly set to return to Australia from Pakistan in the middle of the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL). David Warner is currently in Pakistan for PSL 2025, where the experienced batsman is playing for Karachi Kings.

Karachi Kings are in great form and top the points table with three wins from three matches. On Friday, a day before the team’s crucial match against newly added franchise Rawalpindi, it was reported that the Australian batsman is all set to return to Australia ahead of Karachi’s next match, which is scheduled to be against Peshawar Zalmi at the National Stadium Karachi on April 9.

Karachi Kings cricketers will get a big gap between the two matches, which they can use to refresh themselves. According to the latest reports, David Warner may go for a short trip to Australia ahead of their next Pakistan Super League match. It has also been claimed that the batsman will return to Pakistan and rejoin the franchise to prepare for the upcoming matches.

Batting at a strike rate of 217.65, Khan scored 74 runs in 34 balls with the help of six fours and six sixes. After the match, the captain of Karachi Kings expressed the importance of Azam Khan’s match-winning innings.

David Warner praised Azam Khan

“Look, it was fantastic. You know, he just needed a little bit of intent to come out and play his way, and we know what he’s capable of doing. I know he’s definitely capable of doing what he’s capable of doing, but to see him come in and bat in the middle tonight, it feels like he did. It will put him in good stead for the rest of the tournament,” Warner said about Azam Khan’s batting performance.

However, no official statement has come on Warner’s tour of Australia. It will be interesting to see when this batsman joins the team again.
