Tata Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026, Match No. 6, between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) is underway at Eden Gardens, Kolkata. Knights won the toss and elected to bowl first and SRH scored 226/8 in 20 overs. While chasing the target, KKR had already scored 25 runs in the first over.
However, thereafter, during the last ball of the powerplay, it witnessed a comedy of errors as Angkrish Raghuvanshi and Cameron Green were involved in an awkward run out. As it was later deemed run out by Ishan Malinga. Malinga invited the drive with all his might and Angkrish Raghuvanshi punched the ball straight to the ground.

For a moment it seemed normal, but cricket rarely sticks to the script. Malinga fumbled the ball in his follow-through. It hit his boot, lost all momentum and began to drip awkwardly down his side. As Raghuvanshi moved towards the boundary line to return, he was stopped to confirm exactly whose batsman was out as the batsmen had crossed the boundary while Malinga had broken the stumps.
Cameron Green could not cross and unfortunately returned to the pavilion after scoring 2 runs in 2 balls. KKR are now under real pressure after losing 3 wickets, and Raghuvanshi and Rinke Singh face a big challenge.

Cam Green under huge pressure
It has been an unfortunate start for Cameron Green as he looked in good form in the last game against Mumbai Indians (MI), scoring 18 runs in 10 balls, but fell after playing a loose shot and was run out today. There will be huge pressure on Green now, as he was the highest paid player in the mini-auction. KKR bought him for Rs 25.20 crore.
Cameron Green is not bowling that well and is playing as a specialist batsman. With two low scores, they will definitely try to score some runs in the next game, the pressure will increase against them.
SRH openers went crazy
SRH got off to a great start, with Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma taking the score to 84/1 in the powerplay. Head scored 46 runs off 21 balls, while Blessing Muzarabani took the wickets of Ishan Kishan and Abhishek Sharma in the same over, with Varun Chakravarthy taking an incredible catch that looked controversial.
From 110/1 to 118/4, KKR bowlers stretched somewhat.
